As an independent freelancer, I completed projects for startups and corporations.
I redefined and established the branding for an English speech consulting startup, leading to improved online impressions and higher conversion rates.
Acorn Academy • 2024 (3 weeks)
Old logos needed an upgrade to reflect professionalism.
Acorn Academy fosters storytelling and public speaking through free tips, workshops, mentorship, and courses. The goal is to redesign the brand with the core values centered on professionalism, passion, and hope. Moreover, the brand name and tagline were updated to align with this new tone.
Ideating and discussing with the client.
I started with rough sketches and inspiration from mood boards then I discussed with the client to refine several concepts. The challenge was merging an acorn with a speech element, as students of Acorn Academy mistook the microphone for karaoke, so we switched to a podium mic which is suited for presentations and public speaking.
Conveying communication & confidence.
The upright icon, yellow acorn leaf, and serif logotype, represents the values of professionalism, passion, and hope.
Usage guide for best practices.
I provided logo and color usage guides for the client as it is primarily used in social media content. The color palette, features natural tones with moderate saturation so it is more pleasing to the eye.
I created 8 scalable packaging designs for a food material supplier with the end users being retailers and distributors.

Specifications from the client.
First, the client briefed me on the project and the required specifications including the overarching theme, art style, color usage, and dimensions. A clear vision was provided but I was also open to explore similar concepts as well.
Gathering inspiration and references.
Next, I referenced product photography, online drawings, and real-life photos for visual accuracy. Handdrawing from scratch is not my strong suit so I have to emulate and adapt to achieve a semi-cartoonish and semi-serious line drawing style.
Refining through revisions.
Over 3 client meetings, I drafted a total of 5 iterations in Figma for early-stage discussion to quickly move forward to the final stages of high fidelity designs in Illustrator. The biggest challenge was selecting suitable food or cultural elements for each series as the variety of food contents in each series is fixed.
Deliverables include cover images and reusable assets.
Each series design went through 3-5 revisions before reaching the final result. Deliverables included 8 frozen food packaging series box designs, with each element also prepared for additional future design work, such as plastic bags and other accessories.
Final renderings that sealed the deal.
I produced photoshop renderings using mockup templates to simulate what the packaging looks like. Seafood for a blue color and other pre-cooked dishes for light brown. We decided on only two colors to save printing cost.
I partnered with a sales manager to create marketing and exhibition materials for QTS Corporation's expansion, introducing YouV Art and Overhang Lab to the US market.
QTS Corporation • 2023 (6 months)
Helping a new contender in the 3D printing space gain impressions.
Overhang Lab LLC, a subsidiary of QTS Corporation, specializes in premium 3D printer resins for professional makers. Our primary objective was to expand into the US market by finding retailers and distributors. To achieve this goal, my partner, the sales manager, and I strategized plans involving three exhibitions, starting Instagram and Facebook social media channels, and implementing an email marketing campaign. Our efforts generated several leads and initiaed more than three business relationships.
As the part-time graphic designer, my responsibility was to develop Overhang Lab's visual identity and marketing material. This included exhibition material such as pop-up displays, flyers, info cards, and marketing collateral such as social media posts, banners, and EDM.
A partnership leading to great retail sales in the US.
YouV Art partnered with Mr. Nola's Glitter, a supplier of glitter and crafting resources, to distribute UV art gel resins both in retail stores and online across the US. The product was instantly popular for its innovative characteristics, including aromatic scents, gummy-like texture, and rapid-drying capabilities.
I led the packaging design for the four product lines, Aroma, Art, Gummy, and Jewelry resin gels. The challenge was to effectively show the unique characteristics for each product. After 5 iterations, we arrived at the final design that successfully distinguished each product while maintaining a cohesive look.
I designed a website using squarespace for a rubber processing machinery distributor in Thailand, aiming to strengthen branding and generate leads.
SrangSern • 2023 (1 month)
Building a credible company website for SrangSern.
The objective of the project was to establish branding and create an online presence for SrangSern, a distributor of rubber processing machinery. The target user is businesses seeking collaboration so the visual style needs to be professional.
Based on their logo and provided materials, I picked a simple color scheme comprising red and pale yellow. From scratch, I developed responsive designs for desktop, tablet, and mobile interfaces, while considering content hierarchy, sections, and layout.
Difficulties included utilizing Squarespace's limited components and styling options, and working with very limited content quantity and low quality images. As a result, I advised the client to consider retaking product and factory photos for better quality. This led to a collaborative effort to filter content and images to update, add or remove.
One month and three meetings later, I delivered the final website and the client was satisfied with the results. The website serves as a comprehensive platform for product information and a channel for customer inquiries, enhancing overall user experience and engagement.
